Meet Gabrielle
"I bring warmth, curiosity, and flexibility to every session. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest about what has been hard."
Hi, I'm Gabrielle, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) offering both in-person and virtual therapy to individuals and couples across Ontario. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto, and that dual background shapes everything about how I work.
My nursing training gave me something that is genuinely rare in a therapy setting: a deep, clinical understanding of the body, illness, and the healthcare system. For clients navigating chronic illness, a new or life-altering diagnosis, infertility, or the emotional weight of caregiving, that background means I can meet you with both clinical literacy and genuine compassion. You do not have to translate your medical experience into language a therapist can understand. I already understand it.
I work with individuals and couples facing relationship challenges, anxiety, low mood, self-worth concerns, and significant life transitions. Whatever has brought you here, my focus is on helping you understand what you are up against, ease the anxiety that often surrounds it, and find more grounded ways of responding that support lasting change.
My approach is integrative and tailored to you. I draw on Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, and person-centred principles, weaving together what fits best for where you are right now.
Outside the Therapy Room
Outside of work I enjoy staying active, spending time in nature, and being with friends and family. I am also a regular at the Toronto Public Library, always on the lookout for the next good read. And at home, my cat Mochi keeps me well and truly grounded.
