Introduction to Therapy Services

Healthy Minds Psychotherapy offers in-person, virtual, and hybrid therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups, supporting clients in Toronto and across Ontario. Our clinicians bring diverse training and areas of expertise, allowing therapy to be collaborative, personalized, and responsive to each client’s goals and needs. We provide services in English, French and Farsi.

Our clinic operates from a trauma-informed perspective, recognizing that past experiences can influence emotional well-being, relationships, and coping patterns.

Clients commonly seek therapy for concerns such as trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. These experiences may include navigating the impact of past events, coping with the loss of a loved one, managing ongoing stress or worry, addressing symptoms of depression, or working through relationship and communication difficulties.

Life transitions may also involve adjusting to health or medical changes, caregiving responsibilities, career transitions, or significant personal decisions.

Our clinicians also support individuals navigating concerns related to fertility and reproductive decisions, women’s mental health, substance-related challenges, burnout, and other complex emotional experiences that can arise across different stages of life.

We recognize that cultural background, identity, family traditions, and life experiences can shape how individuals understand and experience mental health, and therapy aims to be responsive to these perspectives within the therapeutic process.

We also offer lower-fee therapy options, including student-led sessions and a limited number of sliding scale appointments, to help increase access to care.

Available services and modalities may vary by clinician.

Core Therapy Services

Our Philosophy of Care

Our clinicians draw from a range of evidence-informed therapeutic approaches depending on each client’s needs and goals. Each therapist brings their own training, experience, and areas of clinical focus.

Approaches used in therapy may vary depending on the therapist’s training, competence, and professional judgment, as well as what is clinically appropriate for the client’s concerns and goals. In many cases, therapists integrate elements from different approaches to support each client’s individual therapeutic process.
